Well….today marks the first day back to real life after 2.5 weeks of pure bliss! The week leading up to the wedding was perfect thanks to my amazing friends, family, and bridesmaids. The bachelorette party was a complete success. The wedding was everything I could have hoped for. The honeymoon was AMAZING. And most importantly, I officially got Calvin in the bag! 🙂

We just flew back from Hawaii on Saturday evening, after two weeks in paradise…buzz kill!! I legitimately felt tears welling in my eyes as we pulled up to the airport on Friday. I’m not sure if it was dread over the long flight ahead of us or the fact that we were leaving Maui….pretty sure it was the whole leaving thing.

Now we’ve had approximately 1 day to readjust and kick the jetlag. Hawaii is 6 hours behind us here on the east coast. I think it’s safe to say, this is going to be a LONG week! Last night we got in bed at 9:00 in hopes of being able to settle down and be asleep at a decent hour…by 1 a.m. we were eating Waffle House thinking a full stomach might make us tired. [FYI, that didn’t help.]

With that said, I wouldn’t change a thing! I’m so glad we stayed in Hawaii as long as we did. Today when I’m staring at my computer screen at work, daydreaming about sleeping and cursing myself for planning such a late return home….I’ll remind myself of all the memories we created these past two weeks (and how expensive it was and that I can’t afford to nap at work).

Although 10 seconds is sometimes just not long enough…I’m surprised I never tripped and fell running from the camera to reach Calvin before the shutter clicked!
