At lasstttt! Since my post last week, I’ve been gearing up to flood the blog with a bunch of new weddings…starting with one of my favorites! Of course, I had some technical issues with my blog that delayed this—but that just means I had time to get more weddings prepared and ready to go for next week. So get ready, this is the first of many to come!
This is one of my favorites for a few reasons…for one, the beautiful bride, Mel, and some of her bridesmaids are friends and sorority sisters of mine! So I might be a little partial here. Secondly, nothing’s better than a groom that gets emotional when he sees his bride! Finally, I just love how beautifully her whole day came together! Mel is totally a city girl with classic tastes, while Brad is more of a country boy—and I think her wedding reflected both of those things perfectly! From the classic black bridesmaids dresses to the rustic alter they set up for the ceremony, it was just perfect for them!

Jens, I know you loved having me creep on your during the getting ready. 🙂
Loved this wagon on the left! Brad’s grandfather originally built it, and they decided to use it as their gift table!
These guys had each other’s backs…making sure their suspenders crossed at just the right point.
One common theme this year seems to be the guys really enjoying their photo time—I love it! These guys were full of ideas and I let them run with it! Although, looking back, perhaps I should have cautioned against this to make sure no accidents kept these guys from the ceremony! Note to self for future weddings: discourage human towers prior to ceremony! 🙂
The moment Brad saw Mel, he melted! It was adorable, and I was tempted to post every picture of him watching her come down the aisle, buuuut I’ll spare him. 🙂
Favorite recessional photo! I love how even while all eyes are on them, they’re just taking in the moment with each other! I hope you guys can remember those moments forever, and well, if your memory gets a little hazy, that’s what these photos are for! 🙂
Ahh! Cutest little family ever! Aaand I’m just realizing how perfect it is that Chloe’s black and white, matching the wedding perfectly! haha
And thennn they took a quick trip on the shuttle…that may have turned into 30-40 minutes of the wedding party having a blast and making memories of their own!
Mel and Brad were SO sweet and greeted every single guest before they went through the dinner line, to make sure they were able to talk to everyone!
Aaaand I’m adding a fourth reason to why this was one of my favorite weddings. Mel’s dad. I had never met him before…and as I watched them throughout the day, it was obvious where Mel gets some of that fun-loving attitude that everyone loves about her! He was so fun the entire day, and Mel is obviously daddy’s little girl.
See. Her dad is awesome.
Oh hey girls! …Just some of the ZTA sisters that were able to make it to the wedding!
Soon to be Mr. & Mrs.! Can’t wait for Caley and Brandon’s Charlottesville wedding coming so sooonnnn!
I think they may have been rehearsing their first dance here? Probably.
Congratulations Mel and Brad! <3
