Megan was getting ready to deploy while in the midst of planning her and Mike’s wedding. Their coordinator contacted me letting me know they were working quickly to nail down a venue before she left. After visiting a few venues, they decided on Megan’s grandparent’s land on the Eastern Shore near Cape Charles. I first got to visit it for their engagement session, which you can see here. Let me tell you, this was a dream location for anyone who’s ever considered a backyard wedding! Open fields galore, a beautiful victorian home, and a tree-lined driveway…it was perfect!

There’s something so intimate about weddings like this. Megan and her bridesmaids got ready in her grandparents home, among family heirlooms and memories. I love that! It was a beautiful day all around…the weather was perfect for a tent wedding and their family and friends helped make it a crazy, fun celebration! As soon as the dance floor opened, it stayed full and got busier through the night! It was the perfect celebration to begin their marriage.
