The morning of the day we had scheduled for Samantha’s bridal portraits, it was a total downpour outside….dark grey skies, thunder, and lightening. The forecast was calling for a small break in rain right around when we were scheduled to shoot, and I think I can speak for both Sam and I, that our fingers and toes were crossed hoping that the forecast was right!
We had a backup plan, of course. But when your mind is set on beach portraits, it’s just hard to imagine anything else…so I was determined to make this happen! We pushed her shoot time up just a bit and luckily it all worked out perfectly! The cloud cover made for gorgeous soft light…plus just towards the end of her shoot, the dark clouds started rolling in again which made for such a pretty backdrop against the water. It got nasty quick though, and we made our way off that beach as quick as possible! My ride home was slightly scary with the torrential downpours and constant lightning and thunder….I just couldn’t believe we actually made this beach bridal session happen!
Sam’s wedding was this past weekend, and luckily, the weather was quite the opposite of this! Nothing but sunny skies! J I’m so glad I can finally share her bridal portraits, now that her wedding has passed. Check back soon for her gorgeous wedding photos, too!
Thank you Samantha for sharing your lovely photos with me.
