I think it’s about time I do another installment of my Guilty Little Pleasures series! One thing I’m always trying is mascara…but I hate paying a lot for it. Between the Clinique and Estee Lauder gifts that always come with mascaras and the points I accumulate at Sephora…I feel like I’ve tried my fair share of mascaras. Everything from the drug store staple of mascara, Maybelline Great Lash, to the other brands like Urban Decay and Makeup Forever.
I know everyone has totally different experiences and are looking for something different when it comes to makeup in general…so this is just my opinion. 🙂 But I’ve yet to find a ‘high end’ mascara that’s really worth the additional cost…especially since I started using Loreal’s Voluminous Butterfly mascara. I’ll admit probably the only reason I picked this mascara up is because it has butterfly in the name…I have a thing for butterflies. And apparently I wanted my lashes to be like butterflies? I don’t know.
Point is, this stuff is great! The wand is one of my favorite parts…it’s half comb, half brush. The comb part is great for really getting the mascara on to your lashes, closely to the roots without worrying about brushing your eyelid. Plus, it goes on so nicely and doesn’t crumble and start chipping off towards the end of the day. Finally, I don’t know of these photos do it any justice, but I literally feel like I’ve put on a nice natural set of false lashes after applying this stuff! The first photo shows the difference in my natural lashes and this stuff. If you’re on the hunt for a good mascara, I’d definitely recommend trying this! For $8, it’s at least worth trying before you blow $20+ on the high end stuff!
