Eye Candy

Seriously, all I have to say is this shoot is just eye candy to me. I’m in love with the lighting, the gorgeous models, the pops of color, everything! I had so much fun putting this together, it was a lot of work (thank you, Calvin, for all you’re help! You’re the best free assistant ever!), but totally worth it!

Everything used in this shoot came from some amazing and extremely generous vendors!

First, the completely amazing teal table and chairs came from Marni with Ainslee’s Attic! If you haven’t seen her work, please go check it out! She re-purposes used furniture and home accessories, making them into the most colorful, unique, perfectly imperfect pieces.  Being in her studio seriously makes me want to redecorate my house. (That’s okay, right Calvin?) Her work is completely custom, and she has a serious collection of unique pieces ready to create just for her clients. (Calvin and I got a ship wheel from her that we’ve been searching high and low for, can’t wait to see it!)

The gorgeous wedding dress and super fun high-low bridesmaid dress was borrowed from Pure English Couture Bridal in Virginia Beach! They were so accommodating in helping me find the perfect dresses and accessories for this shoot. I couldn’t be more appreciative of them allowing me to showcase a couple of their beautiful dresses in my shoot.

The milk glass pieces were provided by Amy with Style by Design, a local wedding and event coordinator/interior designer/fitness instructor….she seriously does it all. She also has a TON of pieces available to rent for your centerpieces and event decor! Milk glass is really popular right now and can be difficult to find unless you’re a regular at the local thrift stores…but she has more than enough on hand to decorate an entire reception venue, among many other unique items.

Finally, the models, Emily Noel (the bride) and Martinique Jennings (the bridesmaid). They were so kind to wake up terribly early for this sunrise session!  I can promise you, I was not looking this amazing at 7 a.m….and I don’t think I could even if I tried! 🙂  Emily’s hair was done by Laura Kelton and makeup for both was done by the bridesmaid, Martinique!  Martinique has a YouTube channel where she shares a ton of tips and tricks for makeup application and how to achieve certain looks. She did a gorgeous job for this shoot!

Now….the photos!  🙂 I think that was the most in depth vendor credit ever…but I’m so appreciate for everyone’s help!

I’m a huge fan of putting objects in front of my lens…and this is why! This was a cherry blossom…I absolutely love the pink glow it created on this one.
