Remember that snow we had not too long ago that left many of us parked on the interstate for hours during our Friday commute? We were all probably cursing the snow at the time…I know I was. But when I woke up Saturday morning, the view was totally worth it! Yeah, and I got to photograph a gorgeous wedding party at the Founder’s Inn that day.
It. Was. Perfect. While it came with a few complications (their Friday evening rehearsal didn’t go quite as planned), the snow covered scenery made for the dream winter wedding. I was so so SO lucky that Jennifer of Shine With Jennifer Leigh asked me to assist her with the wedding portraits. The couple chose to do all of their wedding portraits prior to the wedding, which I think is a great idea! (Calvin and I will actually be doing this as well, the benefits of that could be a whole other post…or 2!) So while Jennifer was with the bride finishing up getting ready, I went ahead and got all of the groomsmen’s portraits done.
These guys were awesome! It was cold and I kept them outside for quite some time just to take advantage of the gorgeous view…but they never once complained! Anyway, here’s what I captured on this perfect day! To see the entire wedding, check out Shine with Jennifer Leigh’s blog.
I LOVE how excited Dre was to see his bride!!
…then he had to step back to check her out! I think he likes what he sees. 😉
Told you the groomsmen were great! One even took it upon himself to show his friend how to really dip his bride. I love everyone’s reactions!
…then we snuck away to give the bride and groom some alone time..
