Carly and Patrick had the most beautiful wedding in Manteo, NC. Of all the times I’ve been to the Outer Banks, I had never turned towards Manteo…huge mistake! If you’re like me, do yourself a favor and visit this sweet little OBX town and the beautiful Elizabethan Gardens! I’m completely in love, and now frequent the area on my Zillow app. 🙂

Patrick’s family is from Manteo, and as a couple, Carly and Patrick spend a lot of time in the Outer Banks…so it was only natural that this be where they start their forever together. We even did their engagement session at the Bodie Island lighthouse, which you can see here. Their ceremony took place at The Elizabethan Gardens, which is just the most unexpected little piece of paradise in that beach town. The gardens are just gorgeous and it truly felt like a fairytale as you followed the paths back to the opening where their ceremony was set up.

I just love the fresh feminine colors she chose as her wedding’s color palette! With so much greenery at their ceremony site, the pop of color was perfect!


Carly and her bridesmaids got ready all together at the prettiest yellow beach house just across the road from the beach in Nag’s Head!




Someone wasn’t sure what was going on, but kept a watch out over her momma! 🙂

Kelly Gish Floral Designs did the most beautiful job with the flowers on this wedding!

After the ceremony, we headed to their reception venue, The Pavilion at Pirate’s Cove.









Just in case you were wondering, draping and lighting, is always a good idea for your reception venue!


As the speeches started, it became obvious that their reception more like a family dinner than a huge production. So many of their friends and family were connected, and long time friends shared the best memories of how Carly and Patrick began as a couple. I always love when friends share little tidbits about their early relationship, that the other spouse hadn’t heard before.




It was such a beautiful day! I’m so glad I could be there to capture their celebration! Congratulations Carly and Patrick! 🙂
