This morning I woke up without being able to see the clock for the last time.
I ran my hand around the side table hoping to find my glasses for the last time.
And tonight, I’ll be able to fall asleep watching tv without worrying about taking off my glasses or taking out my contacts first.
Because today, I’m getting LASIK!!! I. Am. SO. Excited!!
I originally started putting this post together, thinking I would do a little About Me post….then I realized, one of the things I would have probably shared is that I’m BLIND! Functionally blind as my optometrist said while laughing with me about my -10 prescription. I’m extremely near sighted, basically if you’re not on the tip of my nose, I’m not going to see you.
I could probably make a list all day of the reasons why I’m excited….but all of you with eye sight like mine already know!
So on to this portrait session I did with my two loves, Calvin and Bailey! 🙂 If you follow my page, you already know Bailey….our 3 year old boston terrier and my husband, Calvin.
As you can tell, Bailey’s not a very good walker….but we sure tried to make it look nice. ha
Calvin and I met in high school…but didn’t reconnect until years later when I was moving back to VA from OH after finishing college. And basically we were hooked ever since.
As soon as we bought our house, we were on the hunt for a puppy. That’s when this crazy thing came into our lives!
I used to hate when she kissed me, but then I got jealous when she didn’t show me any attention… 🙂

Congratulations! What a relief this must be for you. Luke has the same problem as you. He is blind! We are looking forward to the day he can get lasik too.

Congratulations on your surgery. I hope all goes well. You and Calvin make a beautiful couple. He was always so nice to us growing up, and he has turned into a fine gentleman, You both are precious.
