Back when I first started learning about photography, I shot on film. I’m so thankful for that experience. For one, I was actually able to develop my own film in a dark room…something that many people won’t ever get to experience. I don’t know that I’m interested in delving into film photography again right now, but one thing that I love about film is the beautiful, slightly muted and cyan tones. Sometimes I look at the photos that come out of the newest cameras, and part of me feels like they’re almost too digital looking. I think that’s what draws me to film photography so much, the timeless, classic look it creates.
I’ve been wanting to experiment with bringing this look into my own photography….so I decided to save this styled bridal shoot for just that! It’s a work in progress, but I’ve had so much fun trying out something a little different from my norm….
Thank you Meagan Richter for modeling and Kelly Gish Floral Design for putting together this bouquet for me! You’re a lifesaver!
Love the spin or swish of a ballgown — that “pose” is definitely a keeper for future brides.
