I’m a big believer in the saying ‘what’s meant to be will be’ and this wedding is a perfect example of that! All day there seemed to be a reoccurring theme…I kept hearing friends and family say they knew this wedding was coming for years and they always knew Zoe and Jason were a perfect match! (They ARE!) Zoe and Jason have been dating since high school, so you could tell this wedding is something friends and family have been looking forward to!
I absolutely loved every bit of this wedding! It was certainly a labor of love, evidenced by Zoe, her mom, and aunt’s very active shared Pinterest board titled ‘Burlap, Ball Jars, and Bling’…as you’ll see, an extremely accurate description of this beautiful wedding! When I arrived to the Woman’s Club of Portsmouth, setting up was in full swing with friends and family hustling to make everything perfect! And it was…perfect!
This dresssss! Β The lace detail was gorgeous!
Aren’t their invitations awesome!? Love the little booklet and the ‘help us celebrate Zoe-Jason style!’ I think they successfully accomplished that. π
This was Zoe’s grandmother’s ring that she wore for the wedding.
Zoe’s aunt Mary with, Mary’s Flower Works, did all the flowers! On her bouquet, they wrapped lace from Zoe’s mother’s wedding dress. I love personal touches like this!
Yes that’s a tattoo! A ‘Z’ that he got tattooed on his ring finger the day before their wedding!
While Zoe and her bridesmaids got ready, these adorable flower girls found a way to pass the time….dancing their little hearts out!
This weather lately has been crazy! Thankfully it held off so they were able to have a beautiful ceremony outside! For their portraits, though, we decided to stay close by, just in case it decided to start raining again!
<3 Love the way Jason’s face lit up when he saw his bride!
First look with her daddy! π I’d say he’s proud!
As we moved around the Woman’s Club taking more portraits, we had a little audience! π
Getting that little guy on the right took a little persuading…but it worked! See below π
I spy a Blake Shelton lyric! π
Their friend and owner of Pinkelheimer Brewing in Virginia Beach brewed the beer that was served at their wedding!
Their reception was SO much fun! Once the party got started, the dance floor stayed busy!
Of course, Sarah (my second shooter) and I had to join in on the photobooth fun real quick! π
I squeezed my way on to the dance floor to get a shot…and then this happened. Yep, that’s me with the beet red face..embarrassed! Β Jason threatened to post it once they got the pictures back, so I figured I’d save him the trouble. π
And then I realized they weren’t letting me go anywhere without a picture, and so I just gave in! Β haha I was basically itching to dance the entire time, so thanks for making me! π
Congratulations you two! Hope you’re having an amazing time on your honeymoon! π
Great job, Steph! It was a fun day!
I can’t stop looking at them. Love ’em all!

I think this is my third time looking at them. Stephanie, you do some awesome work! These are so well done, and you captured so many details. I am super impressed! So glad you were the photographer!
