I’ve been working hard all weekend to get my new website ready to launch and I CAN’T wait! 1. Because I just can’t look at it anymore. I seriously change something every time I look at it! 🙂  2. Because it’s just so much more clean and professional than what I have now…I definitely think it does my photos 100x more justice!
Luckily I have today off from my full time job, so I’m able to dedicate just a bit longer to getting this site ready.  But as I thought about how excited I am to have this day to catch up on everything photography related, I had to remind myself what today is really about. We have these days off in order to honor those who have made a great impact…and I’d like to think that everyone takes a moment to remember this and remind themselves that to this day we’re all apart of the change and responsible for the progress that MLK had the strength and courage to stand up for.  It blows my mind that it was 50 years ago that he gave his “I have a dream” speech…yet race is still a common issue (among SOOOO many other things that shouldn’t matter). Blows. My. Mind. We’re all human beings trying to make our way through life the best way we know how…we all do it differently, we all grew up differently, we all take different paths…there’s no right way. I saw a quote on Pinterest that I loved, “Go ahead. Judge me. Just remember to be perfect for the rest of your life.”
Anyway, off my soapbox.  This is probably super cheesy, but I think this is an appropriate post to share one of my favorite songs right now…I’m a pro at wearing songs out, and this is one of them that’s been on repeat. 🙂
