Nicole and I have known each other since high school. It’s a funny story how we met, actually. But without going in to detail, we dated the same guy…at the same time. Cool, huh? And because Nicole is awesome, rather than having a cat fight, we became friends! And I’m so glad we did! We’ve spent many nights driving down Suffolk’s back roads talking about life…now those back roads lead to Pungo where her horse, Rusty, is kept.
Being around horses is new to me, so I’ll admit…I was slightly nervous. 🙂 But Rusty is such a calm, well mannered horse. (I even rode around on him…it may or may not have been pony style, with Nicole walking him around…but I did it.) Anyways, over time I’ve really seen how Rusty is more than a horse, he may as well be human. Nicole and him are like two peas in a pod…it may be a coincidence but his personality almost mirrors Nicole’s. It’s adorable.
