I was so excited for Allie and David’s wedding day for so many reasons. Allie was actually a bridesmaid in Kari and Nathan’s wedding from last summer, and vice versa. So I looked forward to getting to see Kari and Nathan again, as well as one of my upcoming 2016 brides! Plus, Allie and David were seriously like models at their engagement session, so I knew we were going to capture some beautiful portraits on their wedding day! And that’s exactly what we did, despite the rainy day. Luckily there was a quick break in the rain so they could do their first look portraits in front of the venue. Plus, the Woman’s Club has a beautiful front porch which made for the perfect spot for the rest of their portraits!
More importantly, they didn’t let the rain put a damper on their day. Allie and David were both full of joy. My favorite part of the day was watching David open his wedding gift from his bride, a book full of letters that Allie wrote him throughout their relationship. It was such a thoughtful gift, and David’s reaction was perfect. I loved getting to be a part of their day!
