A few months back, Samantha contacted me for more information about my wedding collections….I immediately recognized her name as someone I went to Longwood with my freshman year! We actually lived on the same hall in our dorm! Soo when we decided to meet up to discuss all the options, I secretly hoped it would be a familiar face! And obviously, it was! 🙂
She and Matt make such a cute couple….seriously, I don’t know how I’ve lucked out with such awesome brides…and grooms! So far all of my couples have been so laid back and fun! PLUS the grooms have all been such good sports and seem to be genuinely into the whole wedding and photography process. Being in front of the camera isn’t exactly something most men (or people in general) love doing, but every one of my grooms have had ideas and tried to have fun with their shoots. I LOVE that!
For Sam and Matt’s engagement shoot, they decided on Fort Monroe…a place that they go to often to walk their dog, Murphy. So I loved that, that’s where we did their shoot! While a typical trip to Fort Monroe may not have included quite as much PDA (or snow), I was glad to capture a somewhat average afternoon for them!
Oh, and this probably goes without saying, but I LOVE that Sam incorporated pink, purple, and teal into their shoot! They’re just my favorite colors AND her wedding colors (teal and purple). Shooting her wedding is going to be a dream! 🙂
