Recently I was asked what my favorite photo of all time was… Tough question because there are SO many! But after thinking about it, I kept going back to one photo that stuck out in my mind. A photo of my dad and I at a waterpark when we lived in Hawaii..

Why is this my favorite? Because when I look at this photo it takes me back to those days…my dad and I were in the middle of racing around the lazy river…then we came along a bridge where my mom was waiting for us to take a picture. I always tried avoiding pictures, so tried escaping this one until my dad grabbed me and held me hostage for this picture. This picture sums up our relationship back then, but maybe a little nicer than reality. Haha Actually when I pictured this in my head, I thought he had me in a headlock which would have been even more accurate. 🙂 (My brother, dad, and I were always wrestling around…which I’m sure my mom just loveeddd)

This is exactly why I love photography…one of my favorite things to do is sit and go through old photos. As many memories as I have, there’s nothing like having a photo to make that memory so much more vivid…just like I’m there again. Oh, and a close second  to photos for me, is music. I feel like with almost every memory, I have a song attached. A song that brings back memories of it’s own, and I would be lying if I didn’t admit that this photo…taken around 2000…the Millenium…brings me back to my fangirl Backstreet Boys (specifically Nick Carter) days of obsession! Sooo yep, fellow BSB lovers…enjoy! I’m sure this will bring back plenty of memories of your own! 🙂
