I absolutely loved Kasten and Jared’s engagement session at First Landing State Park! It was so special for a few different reasons. Kasten contacted me early last year to prepare for her Fall anniversary. As the date neared, she sent me some ideas she had—flowing dress, wine, sunset—and I immediately knew this was going to turn out to be a gorgeous session.
Then came the sweetest surprise.
I received an email that started with “This may seem a little crazy…” It was a message from her best friend and wedding coordinator who saved items from Jared and Kasten’s wedding day and wanted to create a little setting for them that would remind them of their beautiful day! ….UM WHAT?! Crazy?! Crazy in the BEST of ways!
Through reschedules and a last minute location change, their friends stuck to their plan and made it happen…and it was SO worth it. Even the last minute location change turned out to be a total blessing…because we ended up with the most perfect, golden sunset.
Sunset sessions on the beach are literally my favorite.
This picnic complete with wine and a cheese board made their session even more perfectly romantic. I always recommend that my couples try to incorporate something special to them, to add a personal touch to their sessions, creating a setting that truly represents them.
Finally, we ended their session with their sweet surprise…the second picnic, complete with special details from their wedding day. Personalized cups, orange crushes (YUM!—I had to fight back grabbing a cup myself!), and sparklers.
